Hey, I’m David Andrew Wiebe.
Founder & CEO of Music Entrepreneur HQ.
I’ve been playing guitar for 19 years. As a solo artist, I’ve released two albums, two EPs and seven singles. I’ve played with various bands and artists and have guested on four releases. I also co-produced, mixed and mastered one release. I appeared in a friend’s live DVD on guitar and backup vocals too.
I’ve been podcasting for over 10 years. I started podcasting in 2009. It was about the music industry then. It’s still about the music industry now.
I’m a bestselling four-time self-published author. You can find my books here and I have more on the way. I’m currently working on The Music Entrepreneur Code. I’ve also developed other training materials for musicians and music entrepreneurs.
I co-founded The Indie YYC. It’s a community of communities and sponsor of various artistic events in Calgary, AB, Canada.
I’m a staff writer for Music Industry How To. I’ve been writing for, and collaborating with them since 2015.
I have a background in visual art, graphic and web design, music instruction, audio engineering, network marketing, content marketing and business operations. I take everything I’ve learned from parallel industries and share relevant lessons, especially on the podcast.
I’m a digital nomad. I started working entirely from home in 2016. I became a digital nomad in 2019 (no, not the arrogant, “why haven’t you quit your job?” type). I currently live in Abbotsford, BC, Canada but am often moving around.
I’m a foodie. My favorites are Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, East Indian, Italian and Greek.
Catstar Images does my photos. Thanks Karlo!
Want to learn more about me? You’re nuts! But the About page on my personal website is quite thorough if you’re interested. And, if you’ve ever asked yourself whether this D.A. guy is legit, that page might answer some of your questions.
