This is David Andrew Wiebe Interviews and Music Business Podcast episode number 9 for March 23, 2010. This Podcast is going to be a little bit different in that nothing has been scripted. I am extremely busy right now and I decided I could at least get in front of a microphone and let you know what’s going on in my life right now.
I wanted to let you know about upcoming Podcasts; obviously this Podcast was scheduled to be an interview with one of my friends, but that didn’t pan out, so that’s why I am getting behind a microphone right now just to let you know about that. Also, I wanted to let you know about the February Podcast with Chris Naish and wanted to say thanks again to Chris for being on the Podcast. This one you might have missed because I haven’t had a chance to send out a newsletter letting everybody know about it, so I just thought I would remind you to go back and have a listen. Unfortunately, for a good part of this Podcast the audio was corrupted so it was completely unusable and we only got about 20-25 minutes that were usable, but I hope you enjoy it anyway. Definitely have a listen and let me know what you think.
I want to let you know about the new Podcast feed and blog which is located at www.daw-music.com/daw-podcast. I recently went to the trouble of setting all of this up and I think it looks pretty good. Another easier way to access it is to simply go to my website www.daw-music.com and click on the Podcast button.
Currently one of the reasons I am busy is because I am playing in a rock tribute band and I can’t really tell you too much more about that, but we’ve got a couple shows coming up here in April and possibly in May. I’m really excited about that and looking forward to that, but on the other hand it does mean a lot of practice, so I am currently in the shed and if I don’t get to all of your messages right away, I’ll have to apologize for that in advance. This also means that future Podcasts may take a different direction as well. I’ll try to keep you updated on all fronts, but there is a chance, of course, that I may not get around to many interviews for a little while.
I’m also trying to prepare for a gig this weekend and I haven’t had a chance to rehearse with my band once yet. Today is Tuesday and we’re playing on Saturday so this should be pretty interesting, but obviously that means I need to be preparing and getting ready for that as well. I’ve got a couple of pretty major gigs to get myself ready for.
Tomorrow there’s a new project that’s beginning and filming is going to begin. Now, I can’t really say a whole lot more about this, but I think you can certainly expect to see some new video from David Andrew Wiebe here in a little while and that’s also very exciting. And on top of everything else, of course, I’m trying to keep up with everyday tasks, you know, paying the bills and cleaning the house and making sure everything’s in working order, so all of those things have been taking up a lot of my time.
Also, as you might be able to tell, I’ve actually been on the lookout for work. I’m always looking for new opportunities to get a little income especially with things being pretty tight right now. I’m sure that’s true of many people out there, but if you do think of me, just pray for me and keep me in your thoughts as I go forward from here–looking for new opportunities and new work.
So, I guess that’s about it. Sorry that this Podcast is a little short. I definitely look forward to connecting with you and recording future Podcasts, but, like I said, it’s a little tough right now with everything going on to give you a whole lot more, so those are some of the updates. Feel free to leave some comments in the show notes, etc. I’d definitely would like to hear from you.
