So, I’m not entirely sure where March went. I think I’ve mostly been caught up in the gigs I’ve been playing. These have required a different kind of practice ethic and routine since I’ve been playing in bands I’ve never played in before (but not with people I’ve never played with before).
Anyway, there have been quite a few updates this past week. Here’s the summary.
The Music Entrepreneur HQ Featured Stories
Can you be widely and favorably known one day and lose your standing the next? As it turns out, you can. If you do enough of the right things consistently, you’ll build a positive reputation over time. But if you forget to keep doing those things, people will begin to doubt your authenticity. Being liked takes hard work, just like a relationship does. Whether you want to rebuild your reputation, or just be liked more, here are some tips to help you.
Looking to distribute your press release? Thinking about getting some press exposure for your new single or album release? This is something new we now offer at The Music Entrepreneur, though it’s something I’ve been thinking about doing for a long time (so it’s not an idea that came out of the blue). Read up and give me a shout if you’d like to work together.
I don’t think PromoteYourMusic.net is around anymore, but some of the interviews still are. I happened to come across this one a while back, and I’m an avid follower of James Schramko, so I had a listen. I loved the insights shared in this interview, so I took notes and shared them in this post. I’m certain you’ll get lots out of this too.
Using Your Power Featured Stories
We trust banks with our money. The problem is that our trust may not be well-earned. I’m reading the book I Will Teach You To Be Rich by Ramit Sethi right now, and it explains exactly how banks and credit card companies make money off you. In this episode of Using Your Power, Maveen and I explore this subject in more detail.
Can’t seem to get your work space in order? Clutter can distract you, and even make you less productive. In this episode of Using Your Power, Maveen and I share some ideas on how to get on top of your work and stay on top of it!
