If you want to make the most out of your music career, you need to focus your efforts on the things that are really going to make a difference. If you’re not quite sure how to do that, then you can find out whatever you need to know, right here:
Your site should always be your number one priority. An official website will give you the chance to congregate your fans and it also lets them know where they can find you too.
Social media sites can come and go, and if you rely on them too much then you may find that you’re left with nothing if they shut down. A website gives you the chance to avoid all of this.
2. Email List
Newsletters are great at keeping your fans informed. You can let them know when you plan on releasing new music and you can also inform them of any changes that are happening within the band too.
When creating your email list, you have to make sure that you don’t spam your users and you also need to make sure that you have an opt-out system too. If you don’t, your customers may grow frustrated with you and this is the last thing that you need.
You should also think about starting your own blog. This will give people the chance to write comments and you can also publish your tour diary this way too. If you come up with new lyrics, then you can ask for people’s opinion, which is another great way for you to connect with your fans.
If you are not quite sure how to create a blog, simply add another tab on your site and post your own personal or band thoughts there. The rest will come to you as time goes on.
YouTube is a great way for you to promote your music and it also gives you the chance to tease any new singles that you might have lined up too. Create an account under your band or solo artist name and do your best to build a natural subscriber base, as this will increase your chances of becoming successful. If you struggle to upload to YouTube videos, then this could be down to your browser. Check out https://setapp.com/lifestyle/best-browser-for-mac to fix the issue.
As mentioned above, you should always make sure you don’t rely on social media too much for your content publishing. You do however need to make sure that you at least have a page for your band so you can post updates from time to time. If you do this in combination with having a site, there is no reason why you can’t go on to reach a wide audience. If you do decide to promote your music with paid ads, try and get comfortable with the ads manager. This will help you to test and optimise your advertisement so you can get the most out of your advertising budget.
